At TCY we believe in giving back to the communities where we do business, Financial literacy and inclusion of our members (farmers and agents) remain our key priority areas, among other challenges that affect the communities we work with. TCY works in close partnership with POST Bank Uganda to achieve our CSR.
The Impact Of The Coffee Yard TCY on the Community. Our presence has impacted the farming and surrounding communities in the various ways;
- There’s a 40% increment of household income to all our committed suppliers through better prices on high-quality coffees.
- We employ both women and youth. Over 130 women grading and drying coffee seasonally. In addition, 50 young men are involved in drying and transporting coffee.
- There’s also indirect employment at designated collection centers (women are involved in harvesting and sorting)
- We act as a bridge between local banks and farmers to access affordable financial services in form of input loans that directly improve coffee productivity.
Uganda’s leading export is coffee and it is grown allover the country. So in order to achieve high quality product of this crop, the coffee yard TCY puts all its resources on this.

The Coffee Yard prepares coffee for different players. The Company serves as a quality hub for export companies like Great Lakes Coffee Company, The Coffee Gardens, and farmer groups like Kalaa Mugosi Women Empowerment Ltd, among others.
